Five of My Favourite Montreal Eats

I'm a big food enjoyer and although I bake with more success than I cook, I always look for yummy places to eat. With so many delicious spots in the greater Montreal area, here are 5 of my top picks!

If you're looking for a delicious sandwich spot, you can't go wrong with this deli in Westmount. Made on baguettes and packed with amazing meats, cheeses and sauces, their sandwich flavour combinations are out of this world. My go-to is The Swiss Tom, loaded with the amazing Foumagerie sauce, ham, celery rémoulade, tomatoes, Swiss, and lettuce. My boyfriend always has their classic Roast Beef sandwich, brushed with garlic olive oil and parmesan.

This off-island wine bar in Laval is a hidden gem, in my opinion. Their menu boasts luxurious and thoughtful ingredient pairings that I don't often have, like dumplings with lamb, coriander, and kimchi with a peanut sauce, and their staff are incredibly knowledgeable about wine and cocktail pairings.

Although they're a bit of a moving target as they no longer have their NDG storefront, this food truck makes the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Their sauce is packed with flavour and fun ingredients, including cauliflower and green peas. Add bacon, and you have yourself a mouth-watering bowl of comfort. If you find this food truck, you must leap!!!

My sister introduced me to this fantastic Iranian cafe in the hustle and bustle of Montreal. They have the most delicious beverages, my favourite being the Snowman Kiss, and you can't go wrong with their hardy sandwiches. In fact, you can't go wrong with anything there - even their desserts are decadent!!

If you're up for a trek north, this French restaurant in the Laurentians (Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts) is operated by a lovely couple - the husband running the kitchen and the wife running the front of house. The freshness and quality of their ingredients are only improved by Chef Charon Benchlouch's culinary skill, and the restaurant's ambiance makes it the perfect spot to enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner.

Bon Appétit,
